KATANEC NEEDS TIME...
Srecko Katanec will make public his decision on the offer to retain the post of selector of the Macedonian national football team until 20 December.
This is the result of the talks between the President of the Macedonian Football Federation (FFM) Haralampie Hadzi-Risteski and the current selector of the national team Srecko Katanec, says the announcement published at the FFM's webapge.
According to the same source, "both sides expressed satisfaction of the previous cooperation and readiness for continuation of the same."
Katanec, whose contract with FFM expires in late November, "asked for additional time to go through the offers he received in the meantime from other national federations and give the final answer not later than 20 December."
Hadzi-Risteski said that in case Katanec refuses to accept extension of engagement, "there is enough time to find alternative solution" for the post of selector that will lead Macedonia through the qualifications for World Cup 2010.
MD: Katanec got many critics by Macedonian fans over the last months, we'll see what happens. Who else should be our coach?
