ISRAEL WITH VICTORY IN SKOPJE

The Macedonian national football team did not manage to get some points at the Euro 2008 qualification match they played against Israel in the City Stadium of Skopje.
Macedonia started of well but Israel took the lead early in the 11th minute. Almost immediately after Israel's goal, Aco Stojkov managed to get the score even for our country. After those two goals there was not much happening on the field and it seemed that the first half would end in a draw, but then Israel took the lead again by scoring just before half time in the 44th minute.
The second half started and Macedonia created several chances but could not turn them into goals. In the last minutes it was Macedonia who was dominating and desperately trying to score a goal but the luck was not on Macedonia's side, so the game ended with a loss, final score 1-2.
MD: It's probably meant to be like this and we guess it's not the time for Macedonia to be succesfull in Europe. When will we be? We don't know, hopefully soon, because the longing for a big tournament is getting bigger and bigger and the Macedonian supporters are tired of losing.
