IRELAND TOLD TO CHANGE IT'S SONG BECAUSE OF MACEDONIA

Culture.

The Eurovision song of the Irish representative Dustin the turkey, must be changed because the name Macedonia is mentioned in it's lyrics. This was the note the Irish representative received from the EU Radio Comission. The EU Radio Comission did not want to confirm if the pressure came from Greece.
"We did not mean to offend Macedonia or Greece with our song. Geography is not our strong side. You probably noticed that because in our song we claim the Danube river goes through France." said the Irish Eurovision representative Dustin the turkey.

The "problematic" verse, that the EU Radio Commision thinks must be changed, below:

Eastern Europe we love you
Do you like Irish stew?
Or goulash as it is to you?
Shake your feathers
Listen Bulgaria we love you
Belarus, Georgia, Montenegro,
Moldavia, Albania, Croatia,
Poland, Russia, Ukraine,
Macedonia, Love you Turkey
Hungary, Estonia, Slovakia,
Armenia, Bosnia Herzegovina
And don’t forget the Swiss!

MD: This is absurd!!!!!!! For how long will this comedy continue??

What is Greece's motivation for requesting the song to be changed? Have they totally lost it?
They can't even treat their fellow macedonians properly in within their own borders....... and they're making absurd requests about a name in a song???
Notice how the song deosn't say Greek/Madedonia.
How many greeks out there would be offended by this song? Probably 0.00001%
So it must be another propaganda by the government to prove how macedonian they are.

what a joke.

THIS WIIL CONTINUE AS LONG AS THE JOKE OF A 'MACEDONIAN' STATE FROM SLAVS AND BULGARS WANTS TO BE CALLED WITH THIS GREEK NAME!

northern greeks remind me of $2 hookers that can be bought out for a better life.

A BIT OF HISTORY, as I know you don't have a lot of knowledge:

Ancient Macedonia Quotes
Diodoros of Sicily 16.95.1-2
"Such was the end of Philip (II, king of Macedonia) ...He had ruled 24 years. He is known to fame as one who with but the slenderest resources to support his claim to a throne won for himself the greatest empire among the Hellenes, while the growth of his position was not due so much to his
prowess in arms as to his adroitness and cordiality in diplomacy."

Skopia reminds all of the europeans, a beggar and analphabetic person that struggles to exist at any cost, althought it's life has no sense at all as will continue to be a beggar, cause this is what it likes!

IT IS BEST FOR YOU ALL, TO READ FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME OF YOUR LIFE A BIT OF HISTORY AS IT IS TAUGHT ALL OVER THE WORLD:

Quotes:
"For I (Alexander I) myself am by ancient descent a Greek, and I would not willingly see Hellas change her freedom for slavery." (Herod. IX, 45, 2 [Loeb])

"Tell your king (Xerxes), who sent you, how his Greek viceroy (Alexander I) of Macedonia has received you hospitably." (Herod. V, 20, 4 [Loeb])

"Now, that these descendants of Perdiccas are Greeks, as they themselves say, I myself chance to know." (Herod. V, 22, 1 [Loeb])

The country by the sea which is now called Macedonia... Alexander, the father of Perdiccas, and his forefathers, who were originally Temenidae from Argos"
(Thucydides 99,3 (Loeb, C F Smith)

"But Alexander (I), proving himself to be an Argive, was judged to be a Greek;
so he contended in the furlong race and ran a dead heat for first place."
(Herod. V, 22, 2)

"The Macedonian people and their kings were of Greek stock, as their traditions and the scanty remains of their language combine to testify."
` {John Bagnell Bury, "A History of Greece to the Death of Alexander the Great", 2nd ed.(1913)

"Clearly, the language of the ancient Macedonians was Greek"
{Prof. John C. Roumans Professor Emeritus of Classics Wisconsin University}

"There is no doubt, that Macedonians were Greeks."
(Robin Lane Fox "Historian-Author" In Interview with newspaper TO BHMA)

"Bulgarian historians say FYROMians are of Bulgarian origin and their language developed from a Bulgarian dialect," which Skopje denies. But Sofia was also the first country to recognize FYROM's independence from the former Yugoslavia in 1991 and now favours its joining the EU. (August 2006 AFP)

"Every FYROMIAN national who does not claim Albanian or Serbian origin has the right to declare a Bulgarian origin." This is an individual act in accordance with the historical reality of our common ethnic origin,”
According to: Stefan Nikolov of the Agency for Bulgarians Abroad. (August 2006 AFP)

The speech of Alexander I, when he was admitted to the Olympic games
"Men of Athens...
Had I not greatly at heart the common welfare of Hellas I should not have come to tell you; but I am myself Hellene by descent, and I would not willingly see Hellas exchange freedom for slavery....
If you prosper in this war, forget not to do something for my freedom; consider the risk I have run, out of zeal for the Hellenic cause, to acquaint you with what Mardonius intends, and to save you from being surprised by the barbarians.
I am Alexander of Macedon."
(Herodotus, The Histories, 9.45)

So you speek of Macedonian kings as being admitted into the Olympic games therefore they must be greek, right! Wrong! Show me evidence of allowing the 10s of thousands of macedonians within their Kingdom to participate in the Olympic games.
Give me names.

Also, Philip forced his presence at the Greek Delphic council in 346BC

In reply to this from the Athenian orator Demosthenes, in 351BC delivered the first of his Philippics, a series of speeches warning the Greeks about the Macedonian menace to Greek liberty. His Philippics (the second in 344 BC, the third in 341 BC) and his three Olynthiacs (349 BC, in which he urged aid for Olynthus against Philip), were all directed in arousing Greece against the foreign conqueror. In the third of the Philippics, which is considered the finest of his orations, the Athenian statesman spoke of Philip II as of:
"not only no Greek, nor related to the Greeks, but not even a barbarian from any place that can be named with honors, but a pestilent knave from Macedonia, whence it was never yet possible to buy a decent slave" (Third Philippic, 31)
These words echo the fact that the ancient Greeks regarded the ancient Macedonians as dangerous neighbors, never as kinsmen.

Instead of spamming this site with ambivalent statements from 2500 years ago concentrate of explaining to me and the world:

How a country like macedonia can firstly become fully hellenized in bc and early ad?
then how can the greeks become a minority (around 10%) post 8 ad?

PS. Forget about the slav migration theory because the slaves would have decended south to greece as well.
