IVANOV CONGRATULATES CITIZENS

The European Commission (EC)'s recommendation for liberalization of the visa regime presents a clear confirmation that Macedonia is a leader of reforms in this sphere, President Gjorgi Ivanov said on Thursday.

Macedonia's success to meet the necessary criteria proves that our society and institutions are ready for the next steps towards the country's full EU-integration, Ivanov said.

Macedonian institutions, citizens may be proud as this (recommendation) is a result of honorable approach and dedicated work, the President said.

I was pleased to hear Commissioner Olli Rehn's statement that the set criteria for free visa regime were not easy to be met, Ivanov said, extending congratulations to the citizens, Government and all of those who contributed to this great success of Macedonia.

The name Greece, Hellenic where created in the 1830s which only makes Greece 179 years old.

The name Macedonia has a very long history its over 4000 years old.

Macedonia belongs to the Macedonians. and the Greeks are not Macedonians. only the Macedonians are Macedonians.
