60,5 % SUPPORT SMOKING BAN
National.
The smoking ban, introduced in Macedonia this January, is supported by 60,5 percent of citizens, says the survey of 'Dimitria Cuposki' Institute.
33,4 percent of respondents don't approve the law that bans smoking in all public places, including offices and hospitals, and even outdoor locations serving food or drinks.
The survey, being conducted on February 17-21 with 1,162 respondents, also shows that Macedonian Army and religious institutions enjoy the trust of 10,9 percent, followed by the Government - 10,5 percent; police - 8,3 percent; President - 2,1; Parliament - 2 percent; judiciary - 1,9 percent. A total of 34,7 percent however consider that none of the institutions deserves their confidence.
MD: At least there are some supporters. And that in a country who finds itself in the top 3 of most smokers in the world.

Why should I let some out of touch politicians in Skopje tell me that I can't smoke? That should be my choice not theirs.

yeh you can smoke but out side beh. come you have to be fair its about peoples health that matters thats whats important in Australia people follow the rules why cant our country we have to cry about everything. Wake up because we are a laughing stock to the world. You should care about you country and your self. We Macedonians from Australia care more about Macedonia then you people. All yous do is cry and blaim the goverments beh wake up.

Actually, I don't smoke but whether I want to or not should be my own choice.
Wtf are you talking about 'care about your country and yourself'. I do that's why I voice my opposition to this particular law and why I went to a good university and maintain a well-paying job.
Is it not embarrasing that I, in a non-Anglophone country, can spell better in English than you, in Australia, can?
