Macedonia is marking the World AIDS day today. There will be several activities organized mainly around the Ramstore super mall in Skopje. The activities will include screenings of films and photography exhibitions about AIDS.
"We will place two info-educational stands where NGO representatives will engage by passers in interactive demonstrations related to HIV/AIDS prevention", said Ivica Cecekovski from the NGO "Hera".
MD: 39.5 million people in the world are living with HIV, while 4.9 million of them have been infected in 2006 and 2.9 million died from AIDS this year. In Macedonia 67 cases of AIDS and 27 of HIV infected have been registered.
