New Year across Macedonia

Fireworks, Songs and Wishes for a better 2007, was the biggest motiv for all organized new year parties in Macedonia's cities.
In Skopje the new year was celebrated at Makedonija Square, where the Skopjani enjoyed the music of the groups; Monistra, Kocani Orkestar and Foltin.
Exactly on midnight there was organized a professional firework performance.
So was it in the other cities of Macedonia also, but it seems the most interesting wasin Ohrid. There, the city authorities were working very hard to lighten the city uplike never before. The Carsija was decorated with a sky of stars. Ohrid was visited by many Greeks, Bulgarians, Serbians and Montenegrins, about 15.000 in total.
Karolina Goceva and Area were performing on the city square right after midnight and Ohrid went to party on till late in the morning.
