GOVERNMENT DISCUSSED GREEK SOLDIERS ' CHANTING

The Government of the Republic of Macedonia discussed at a closed-door session the case of chauvinistic chanting of Greek soldiers at a parade in Thessaloniki, but no decision for an official reaction was made.
This information was confirmed to Makfax agency by two reliable sources.
TV station "Kanal 5" reported this afternoon that the Macedonia Foreign Minister received an order to hand over a note of protest to the Greek Ambassador in the country.
According to Makfax's sources, such a decision was not made.
A video footage available on Internet is in question, which shows members of the Greek special forces shouting insulting chants and singing chauvinistic marching songs in reference to Albania, Turkey and Macedonia.
The origin, credibility and the time of recording have not been determined as yet, although Macedonian and Albanian media speculated it dates back from one to three years.
Makfax learned that the Foreign Ministry is working on establishing of the credibility of the footage.
The Foreign Ministry has already condemned all forms of hostile provocations regardless of the nation it is directed to, adding that such actions do not contribute to strengthening of the amicable and good-neighborly relations.
