Representatives of 49 countries will participate at the NATO Security Forum scheduled for 28-29 June, 2007 in Ohrid, Macedonia.

Bernd A Goetze, the Secretary of the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council, said that forthcoming NATO Forum will provide Macedonia with a good chance for promotion.

The Minister without Portfolio, Andnan Qahil, said the Forum represents a test for Macedonia's maturity to join NATO.

Qahil announced that unprecedented security measures will be undertaken to ensure that this important political summit goes smoothly. He said that up to 5.000 police officers might be engaged for this purpose.
