KUMANOVO THREATENED TO REMAIN WATERLESS

Kumanovo is facing the possibility to remain without drinking water, after the valves on the Lipkovo Lake were closed late Tuesday.

This was reported by Makfax correspondent, citing sources in the local Water Management Company.

According to them, during the night, unknown perpetrators have completely damaged the valves of the lake which supplies the city with drinking water.

Units of Water Company Kumanovo are present on the spot since early morning in the municipality of Lipkovo and work on fixing the damage.

Employees of the company warn that the water from the Lipkovo Lake is being released without control, and farmers from the nearby villages use it for watering their crops.

All relevant factors from the municipality of Kumanovo went to talks this morning with the local self-government of Lipkovo municipality.

Regarding the situation, the manager of the Water Company Kumanovo, Vanco Petkovski, denied the information of cutting the water from Lipkovo Lake and claims that the problem is in reduced flow of water
