ROMAN FORUM AT STOBI SHOWS IT'S WALLS
Culture.
The Roman Forum in the archaeological site of Stobi has showed its grandness, impressive 5.5 meter-high arches that make the Forum a unique structure discovered so far in Macedonia.
This has confirmed assumptions of archaeologists at the Museum of Macedonia, who have conducted excavations at the site with CISS Italian organization from Palermo since 2005 that the main entrance is located in the west section of the structure where three new monumental arches have been discovered.
This is the most significant discovery from the excavations this year that started in May and were presented in a press conference yesterday, attended by the Macedonian and Italian partners.
MD: Funded by CISS in Palermo, the excavations will continue in the second half of August and they will likely continue in the next six months.
