JM TO BUILD CATALYST PLANT

British company Johnson Matthey announced that it is to build new emission control catalyst plant in Macedonia worth approximately 34 million pounds.
The official announcement of the leading catalyst manufacturing company, says the initial investment in the Macedonian plant will be approximately 34 million pounds (48 million euros).
The manufacturing facility, which is to be constructed in the Bunardjik industrial development zone by the end of 2009, will have capacity to produce 4 million catalysts per year.
Johnson Matthey said it is to build new plant in the town of Smithfield in south west Pennsylvania. The initial investment in the Smithfield facility will be 21 million pounds.
The planned construction of two new plants will serve rapidly growing demand for JM products in Europe and North America.
