MACEDONIAN SERBIAN SECURITY COOPERATION

National.

Macedonia-Serbia bilateral relations, security situation in the region and negotiations on the future status of Kosovo were the main topics of discussion between the Macedonian and Serbian Presidents in Belgrade today.

During their talks, Macedonian Head of State Branko Crvenkovski and his Serbian counterpart Boris Tadic put special emphasis on the armed intervention of the Macedonian security forces in the Macedonian village of Brodec in early November, RTS reported.

The interlocutors shared the position that stepping up of cooperation between the security forces of the two countries would be to the benefit of the regional security.

Tadic conveyed to Crvenkovski the Belgrade's adamant stance of pursuing a compromise solution on Kosovo status, aimed at preserving the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
