APPLAUSE FOR SIMON TRPCESKI IN TETOVO
Culture.
A concert in Tetovo on Tuesday closed the second cycle of concerts of the Macedonian piano virtuoso Simon Trpceski through several cities in Macedonia. Trpceski’s managers said he was coming to Tetovo from a concert and was immediately leaving for concerts in London and Amsterdam.
“I have been accepted with hospitality everywhere in world centres. However, the feeling to perform at home, to your own people makes an artist even happier. I am especially happy to play in the town of the great music figure Todor Skalovski,” Trpceski said to journalists. The ambiance during the concert was more than desirable – dead silence during the performance and frantic applause for extraordinary, unrepeatable experience and ovations by the audience.
In Tetovo, Trpceski performed pieces by Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Prokopiev, Grieg and Lekovski. "Shota” and “Oj devojce tetovsko jabolce” (Albanian and Macedonian original folk songs respectively) were also a part of his repertoire.
