The talks between Macedonia and Greece on the differences about the country's name are set to continue in New York on Friday, the UN announced.

The UN special envoy Matthew Nimetz will continue the talks with the representatives of the two countries, UN spokesperson Michele Montas said.

At the meeting, Macedonia and Greece are to disclose their answers to the latest proposal for solving the issue of differences about the name.

The leaders of the two countries have already defined the positions, but they are kept secret.

Macedonia and Greece officially confirmed just that they are prepared to continue the talks.

MD: Also NATO secretary general, Jaap de Hoop Scheffer said that the name issue is not a precondition for NATO entry, but should be solved before the next summit in April.
