GREEK TROOPS WITH INVALID DOCUMENTS

KFOR Greek contingent, which tried to enter in the Republic of Macedonia on Tuesday, possessed national travel orders in Greek language, and a list of people and equipment which did not correspond to the factual state. This is contrary to the Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) on movement of such NATO military convoys, said Wednesday Foreign Ministry Spokesman Vasko Andonovski.
"According to SOFA, the troops must possess a NATO travel order and appropriate documents, but Macedonian competent bodies determined yesterday that soldiers had national travel orders in Greek language, and a list of people and equipment which did not correspond to the factual state. Therefore, the reactions coming from Greek institutions are surprising", added Andonovski.
Andonovski said, "We expected the Greek reaction, taking into account the neighbor's practice to present Macedonia as the side that initiates problems, even in cases when reality and facts demonstrate the opposite".
He said that a Foreign Ministry official has already informed NATO representatives on the case.
"NATO officials have confirmed this is disrespect of entry procedure. Therefore, the case, which is not even a case, is closed", stressed the Foreign Ministry Spokesman.
The KFOR contingent of Greek troops arrived at the Macedonia-Greece border on Tuesday morning, but was denied entry by authorities. After border officers explained the procedure, the KFOR contingent decided to return to Greece upon consultations with their superiors.

Hi Anonymous, I think many people would like to pinch you :-). These were NATO troops following the same procedures for the last 8 years. So the problem is between your country and NATO.
Your country is going through a rough phase after Bucharest and the electoral violence, but we are still neighbours, friends and share the SAME interests in the region.

Oh my God! Dear Alfavitos and Michelos, I only have one question for you two: How do you think your precious Dora would react if a contingent from Macedonia wanted to enter in your country, without proper documents, proper travel order or a travel order written only in Macedonian language, list of solders written by HAND with only one third of the real number of them, plus weapons, ammunition and other military equipment??????? Would she let us in, or would she take that as a PROVOCATION, or maybe even as DECLARING A WAR to your country?

Now, about the NATO...
Our government says that everything was in order. The same procedure that is used for the last 8 years.
Now, your government says that no proper papers presented.
Please, allow me to have some doubts about your government’s statement, not because it’s your government but because, at first, your news reported something like “Macedonia's constitution doesn't allow for a foreign Army to enter Macedonia's territory”. Nobody mentioned illegal papers.

You are a very, very long way from Europe, my friend. FACT: Greeks can enter ANY European country with their old Greek Identity Card which is is written only in Greek!
