The Macedonian national basketball team managed to qualify for the second time in it's history for the European championships in Poland of next year.
At the European championships in France in 1999, Macedonia played at a big tournament for the first time, under the lead of Petar Naumoski. Exactly ten years later Macedonia will again compete in the European championships, this time under the lead of Vrbica Stefanov.
Macedonia took the lead in their qualification group B. Yesterday they beat Estonia with 87-75 in the last qualification game for the big tournament of next year, which will be played from 6 to 20 september in Poland.
