US AUTO CAR PLANT TO BE OPENED IN OHRID

A renowned US company for production of auto parts, intends to open a plant in Ohrid, Vice-Premier Zoran Stavreski told reporters yesterday.
He did not revealed the company's name, but said that next week the Government would make a decision on signing a memo of cooperation with this company, which is going to use the older, now empty facilities in Ohrid's industrial zone.
Initially, the new plant will employ 600, and later on another 1,200 people, which will contribute to reducing the unemployment rate in this city, Stavreski said.
Today, Stavreski visited EMO - the largest electro-equipment enterprise in Macedonia in the past. Stavreski and EMO's management team reviewed possibilities for restructuring of the company. Stavreski also paid a visit to the Ohrid Bank and Slovin TEM-HEM.
