Trifun Kostovski officially stopped being the mayor of Skopje. Today at noon, in a small ceremony, he welcomed the new mayor, Koce Trajanovski, who with 112.331 votes defeated his rival Tito Petkovski.
Trifun Kostovski appeared a little bit bitter, despite the fact he was elected mayor because he ran under the VMRO-DPMNE umbrella, only to declare himself an 'independent' weeks after he won.
In a farewell speech, Mr. Kostovski suggested to the new mayor: "Don't forget that you are not here forever, you will leave just like I am leaving now".
