US URGES ATHENS AND SKOPJE TO COMPROMISE
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has reiterated that the United States support the efforts in finding a compromise settlement to the Athens-Skopje name row, media report.
"Washington strongly supports efforts in finding a mutually acceptable solution", stressed Clinton at Wednesday's hearing of the Congressional Committee on Foreign Affairs.
She added, "USA understand Greece sensitivity", announcing the dispute between the two Balkan neighbors "will be discussed with NATO and EU partners".
"We must encourage both sides to reach an acceptable solution", underlined Clinton.
