BOSKOSKI URGES GRUEVSKI TO STEP DOWN

National.

The United for Macedonia leader Ljube Boskoski urged Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski to resign, blaming him of "fake patriotism, collusion to change the country's name, and criminal conduct."

UM leader Boskoski called on the prime minister to tell whether the information hinting at impending change of the country's constitutional name are true or just a speculation. He also asked the prime minister to tell whether the authorities are ready to accept a new name Northern Macedonia.

Boskoski blamed Gruevski of playing a "double role" - he is secretly negotiating a new name abroad and at the same time he acts like a patriot at home.

"Because of your non-transparency and the double role that you are playing, Macedonia is lagging behind and the people's fear that the country is moving towards an abyss is justified," Boskoski said.

He urged the prime minister to "stop dealing with his personal rating and to put his political engagement in the country's interest".
