Opportunities for exploitation of mineral raw materials will be examined on 40 new locations across Macedonia. Companies that will carry out geological researches signed Friday contracts with the Ministry of Economy. They were selected as bidders through a tender in early 2009.
The single fee paid by companies for research permits will accumulate about Denar 55 million in the state budget.
Depending on the project, researches will be conducted in the next two or four years. If results are positive, companies should obtain exploitation permits in the next stage.
At a signing ceremony, Minister of Economy Fatmir Besimi said companies' projects would enable new jobs to be opened at the economy to grow.
It is extremely important that contracts are signed this year, which has left behind numerous consequences of the global economic crisis. I think this period is behind us, it was said at the G20 summit and there's optimism, Besimi stated.
