DAYS OF MACEDONIAN MUSIC

Concert of Stefan Schultze's Big Band from Germany and the performance of pieces by Macedonian jazz composers will mark Tuesday the start of the 33. "Days of Macedonian Music", due to last until March 31.
The event is organized by the Macedonian Composers' Association (SOKOM), under the auspices of President Gjorge Ivanov and the Ministry of Culture.
"Days of Macedonian Music" will also include performances by Romanian ensemble "Archaeus", the Macedonian Philharmonic, New London Chamber Choir, Kokan Dimusevski and stringed quartet "Equilibrium".
Workshops, promotions of CDs and books, along with scientific debates will be held within the event.
Traditional SOKOM awards for best premiere of a piece by a Macedonian author in the previous year, best performance of a piece by a Macedonian author in the previous year, and life achievement will be announced today and presented on March 25.
