Rainbow, the political party of Macedonian minority in Greece, will issue a newspaper in over 20,000 copies on 1 May. The newspaper will be in two languages, while most of it will be in Greek. A radio in Macedonian language will be launched in due time as well, Dimitri Joanu - a member of Rainbow, told the Macedonian community in Australia.
Joanu accompanied by professor Victor Friedman are in Australia, upon an invitation by the human rights committee.
- A bulk of the members of Rainbow and Krste Petkov Misirkov foundation in Edessa and its region are young, ambitious people who exercise their basic human rights without fear, said Joanu.
He added that a class of about thirty students had been formed in Thessaloniki to learn the Macedonian language.
Prof. Friedman, a linguist and expert of Macedonian language and history, said Greece had not democracy at the moment and it must change its politics radically.
