CIA LANDED AT SKOPJE AIRPORT 30 TIMES
National.
According to data from a variety of aviation sources on the aircrafts that were identified as CIA plains, Skopje airport was used 30 times in the year 2001. The same data shows that the plains used airports in Tirana, Sarajevo, Zagreb, Athens… and many others as well.
The data was compiled by a group of journalists using data from various sources including plain numbers identified by New York Times in May 2005 and Chicago Tribune. The author of the book “The Ghost Plain: the true story of the CIA torture program”, Stephen Gray said that the data is published “as an aid to further research, in particular to allow others to continue to establish the whereabouts of a great number of prisoners who have gone missing”.
