Good Friday is the day where the Macedonian Orthodox Church mourns the death of Christ on the Cross. The day when Pontius Pilatus sentenced Jesus Christ to death. Good friday is regarded as the saddest day in the Christian faith.
On Good friday there is no singing, no celebrating and many raise their flags at half staff. The news for Christ's resurrection will be announced by priests and archbishops on Saturday at midnight in all churches and monasteries of the Macedonian Orthodox Church in the country and abroad.
