MACEDONIA LEFT OUT ON REUTERS POLL
National.
Macedonia is the only country in the region that was left out of Reuters poll on which country will join the European Union, Makfax news agency quotes the Montenegrin daily Vijesti as saying.
Vijesti daily quotes the results of a survey carried out April 10-16. The respondents included executives of European and world's largest banks and financial institutions.
Vijesti daily does not specify why Macedonia was not even mentioned in the Reuters poll on countries aspiring for EU membership.
The poll shows that Croatia will join the EU in 2010, according to Western companies.
The other countries in the region - Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia - face a long wait for EU entry. These countries are likely to join the block in 2015. Turkey will join the EU in 2019.
MD: That probably shows how the situation in our country is...
