195 - SINGLE EMERGENCY TELEPHONE NUMBER

National.

As of Sunday, Macedonian citizens will be able to call for help during any crisis situation at a single emergency phone number 195.

The Crisis Management Center announced this today, noting that the free number will be available 24/7 for reporting events that might trigger a crisis situation or pose a potential hazard threat.

These may include natural threats - floods, landslides, torrential rains, drifts, avalanches, thunderbolts, large-scale fires, as well as blasts, objects collapsing, mine and production facilities' disasters, traffic accidents, environment degradations, etc.

The line is free of charge, allowing all types of callers to connect.

If necessary, the Crisis Management Center will reconnect the caller to emergency medical and firefighting units, as well as the Police.

MD: That's better, but let's hope the number will be called minimum as possible.
