KARAULA WINS THREE AWARDS AT SETUBAL FESTIVAL

"Karaula" (Border Post) directed by Rajko Grlic, the co-production of countries that emerged from former Yugoslavia, triumphed at the 23rd Festroia International Film in Setúbal, Portugal. The festival was held on 1st to 10th June and “Border Post” was awarded two main awards of the festival and an award by reviewers (Golden Dolphin for the best film, Silver Dolphin for the best direction and the renowned Fipresci review jury pronounced it the best film seen in the festival).
The festival is dedicated to small cinematography productions and young filmmakers. Grlic’s film was an interesting and strong competition.
The festival this year was especially dedicated to US independent film. Life Achievements were bestowed to British actor Christopher Lee and the Czech legend, Jiri Menzel.
