SCHEFFER AT EAPC FORUM IN OHRID
NATO Secretary General Jaap De Hoop Scheffer arrived in Ohrid today and held a meeting with the Macedonian PM Nikola Gruevski shortly before the official launching of the second Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council (EAPC) Security Forum in Ohrid tonight.
President Branko Crvenkovski will host a reception for the heads of delegations taking part at the Ohrid Forum.
The Forum, organized by NATO and hosted by Macedonia, will bring together delegations of all 49 EAPC member-states and some 20 ministers of defense, foreign affairs and economy of the NATO member-states and of the region. The delegations will include some 1.500 members.
Interior Ministry has authorized security upgrades in Ohrid, with more than 5.000 police officers dispatched in the city
Most of the delegations landed at the Ohrid's airport "St. Paul" in the afternoon hours.
MD: On every corner of the streets stand a policemen, they collected all 100 police chrysler cars of the whole of Macedonia to Ohrid.
