CULTURAL COOPERATION BETWEEN MACEDONIA AND AUSTRIA

A Macedonian-German co-production, the film “Contact” is opening at the Votiv Cinema in the centre of Vienna this evening. Dignitaries and distinguished figures in the host country have been extended invitations for the opening.
They will be addressed by Macedonian Minister of Culture Arifhikmet Xhemaili in an event that is only seen as the start of a long-term cooperation in cultural exchange and Macedonian presentation in this country. Minister Dzemaili is meeting representatives of the Ministry of Culture of Austria and the management of important institutions in the country today to present Macedonian plans for cultural cooperation and define the contours of joint projects with the Austrian officials.
After the opening, “Contact” will be included in the regular programme of the Votiv Cinema. Based on the screenplay by Gordan Mihi, the film is directed by Sergej Stojanovski.
