SWEDEN INVESTIGATE BORDER INCIDENT

National.

Swedish authorities were investigating circumstances concerning an incident at the Macedonian border involving a Swedish diplomat, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Sofia Karlberg said Tuesday.
Earlier accounts from Skopje suggested that the diplomat and some soldiers from the NATO-led Kosovo force (KFOR) had tried to assist five Kosovo Albanians enter Macedonia but that the Albanians lacked entry visas.

Karlberg said "an administrative error" appeared to have been made but ruled out trafficking, adding that Swedish authorities were cooperating with Macedonia over the incident that took place over the weekend.
