VOLKSWAGEN INTERESTED IN SERVICES OF MACEDONIAN SUPPLIERS

The German car giant Volkswagen expressed interest for using services of several Macedonian automotive suppliers.
To this end, a conference will be set up in the following days, at which 11 automotive parts manufactures from Macedonia and Volkswagen will look into the possibilities for doing business and forging strategic partnership, USAID Skopje office announced.
"Through the Competitiveness Project, USIAD supports initiatives like this conference with an aim to provide assistance to the Macedonian companies to integrate in the global chains of automotive suppliers," said Marcia Wong, the USAID Macedonia Economic Growth Director
The event is organized by the Macedonian Minister for Attracting Foreign Investments, Vele Samak, who believes that "the Macedonian automotive parts manufacturers have an opportunity to become suppliers of Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda and Seat."
Macedonian companies that will take part at the conference (Vesna SAP, IZO Staklo, Amak, SIPO, Velemaks, Ruen, TT Plast, Niche Aurora, Pruteks, MZT Learnica and TCG Learnica) were picked by Volkswagen on the basis of specific criteria.
Once they undergo a detailed evaluation by Volkswagen, the Macedonian companies will be granted a direct access to their supplying chains, USAID announcement says.
