MACEDONIAN DELEGATION TO ATTEND GAS MEETING
Two Macedonian experts will attend a meeting of EU, Russia, Ukraine representatives on the gas supply crisis, scheduled for Friday in Brussels.
The presence of Macedonian experts at this meeting was a subject of a phone conversation between Vice-Premier for European Affairs Ivica Bocevski and his Czech counterpart Alexandr Vondra.
Yesterday and today Bocevski had a series of talks with relevant EU institutions and member countries asking for Macedonia's inclusion in all activities related to surpassing the crisis that resulted from gas supply cut off, the Government Secretariat for European Affairs said Wednesday in a press release.
- The Government of Macedonia, a candidate for the EU membership and signatory country of the SEE Energy Community Treaty, will take over the regional initiative for dealing with the problem and take active part in discussions on the energy stability withing the Czech EU Presidency. Macedonia's diplomatic offensive continues in the upcoming days on both regional and European level, the press release reads.
