The state dignitaries extended congratulations today to the Orthodox believers and the MOC clergy on the occasion of the great Christian religious holiday The Birth of Christ - Christmas.
"Celebration of the Birth of Christ is a celebration of the unconditional love and peace among all peoples in the world. Therefore, let us be greatful for his mercy and boundless love. I am strongly convinced that MOC will continue giving its contribution to increasing the awareness about, and significance of our faith, which is founded in love, peace, mutual respect, tolerance and solidarity," Branko Crvenkovski said, congratulating Christmas to all believers and to the Head of MOC, Archbishop Stefan.
"I am deeply convinced that by having respect and faith for the Christ's teaching, by observing and holding on to the religious values, we will continue threading on our path of justice to build more prosperous and happier future for both the present and future generations," says the congratulating letter of the Parliament Speaker Trajko Veljanovski.
In his congratulating address, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski wished peace and serenity in every home.
"This great Christian holiday is an excellent opportunity to emphasize the noble mission of the Macedonian Orthodox Church in preserving the rich historic and cultural traditions, promotion of the true spiritual values and cultural distinction of the Macedonian people - the mission for peace, unity and tolerance among people."
