CAB DRIVERS DROVE 89 MILLION KILOMETERS IN 2008

The licensed taxi drivers across Macedonia transported more than 38,5 million passengers last year, passing a total of 89 million kilometers, the State Statistical Office reported Tuesday.
Statistical office reported that as much as 2,385 automobiles from 130 taxi companies have been encompassed in the survey.
During 2008, each taxi on average has traveled 37,334 kilometers, with each passenger traveling an average of 2,5 kilometers.
