The Red Cross reflects our trust in humanity - old, universal ideal of the civilization, President Gjorge Ivanov said late Wednesday at a ceremony marking the 65th anniversary of the Macedonian RC.
Since its establishment right after the WWII, the Red Cross has been helping people in trouble, for which in addition to numerous awards, has been enjoying the gratitude of all of those that rely on the assistance of this institution, Ivanov said.
Ivanov, who is a patron of the RC 65 jubilee, underlined the need of nourishing the spirit of solidarity.
Macedonian Red Cross has joined the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in November of 1995.
