US COMPANY TO INVEST IN MACEDONIAN ENERGY SECTOR

Representatives of the US-based S&A Capital, Ltd arrived in Skopje today and confirmed their intention to invest in Macedonia's energy sector.
Naveen Aggarwal, the Director of the Chicago-based company, said they were interested to invest about 150 million dollars in setting up a gasification system in Skopje and other Macedonian cities, under condition the Government abolishes Makpetrol's monopoly.
S&A Capital, Ltd offered to cover 75% of the gas supply system connection costs to each household.
The company has already signed agreements for installing gasification system in Kriva Palanka and in Kumanovo. These projects are worth 14 million euros.
Aggarwal also unveiled plans for making 40 million euros investments in Macedonia's healthcare sector, i.e. in manufacturing of an electronic health card, which is one of the prerequisites for country's membership in EU.
