MACEDONIA TO RECEIVE 300 MILLION DOLLARS IN NEXT FOUR YEARS

In the next four years, Macedonia will receive financial assistance amounting to $220-300 million through programmatic loans and investments projects.
According to the statement released on Wednesday, the government endorsed the report on the recent negotiations between government officials and the World Bank over the 2nd Programmatic Development Policy Loan (PDPL 2) amounting 23.3 million euros.
Over the period 2007-2010, Macedonia will receive financial assistance through programmatic loans amounting $70 million to 90 million.
"PDPL 2 arrangement will give a boost to economic policy and the structural reform that the country is pursuing in order to foster economic growth and prepare itself for EU membership," government said in a statement.
The reason for implementation of this arrangement is to use the most efficient instrument for support of government's policy, which will back key reforms in various sectors of Macedonian economy.
"The outmost objective of PDPL 2 is to promote the economic growth, create new jobs, improve the investment climate and strengthen the public sector's management and efficacy," the statement adds.
