'MACEDONIAN ROULETTE' BEST PLAY AT CERNODRINSKI THEATER FESTIVAL

"Macedonian Roulette", produced by the Skopje-based Drama Theater won the award for best play at this year's "Vojdan Cernodrinski" theater festival, the jury announced on Thursday. The director of the play Saso Milenkovski, music composer Goran Trajkovski and set designer Tihomir Stojanovski also scooped awards.
The award for best actor will be presented to Muzbajdan Kamili-Muchi for his portrayal of Lirak in the play "Labyrinths of Memory", by the Albanian Theater, whereas playwright Avni Halimi, author of the play, won the award for best play.
The award for best female performance went to Zorica Stojanovska for the role of Elmira in the play "Tartif" by Stip's National Theater.
Igor Angelov won the award for best supporting actor for his role in two plays - "The Curse of the Famished Class" and "The Fourth Sister". The best actress in a supporting role is Filiz Ahmet from the Turkish Theater for her portrayal of Brooke, Vicky and Actor in the play "Behind Scenes".
Best breakthrough artist at the festival is Viktorija Stepanoska for the role of Tanja in "The Fourth Sister".
The festival will wrap up Thursday evening with presentation of the awards and the manifestation "Actors Sing" in honour of the participants.
