BALKAN FOLK FESTIVAL OPENED IN OHRID

The Balkan Festival of Folk Songs and Dances opened yesterday night in Ohrid, with participation of 12 folklore ensembles from eight countries.
The 46th festival kicked off with a traditional folklore parade on the streets of Ohrid. The opening ceremony took place at the Dolni Saraj stage in Varos (Old part of Ohrid).
The guests at the first night of the festival included ANPI Biseri of the Ohrid Culture Center and 'Tanec' folk songs and dances ensemble.
MD: The Balkan Festival is a member of CIOFF and other cultural educational associations of UNESCO.
