DEALING WITH CRIMINALS IN VAKSINCE

National.

The last night's incident in which the commander of the police station in Matejche was killed was a case of dealing with criminals.

Macedonian Interior Minister Gordana Jankulovska said this during today's parliamentary debate on the incident in which commander Fatmir Alili was gunned down and two other police officers were injured.

"The fight against the criminal structures, as it was in this case, cannot and must not assume a political overtone nor can or must blown into a security matter", Jankulovska said at the debate initiated by the opposition SDSM.

Jankulovska informed that the police patrol was attacked last night at the road section between Slupchane and Vaksince by Aljili Zaim and Aljili Sqender, both from the village of Vaksince, accompanied by Hiseini Cheljadin from the village of Mojane, who is wanted for murder.

Hiseini Cheljadin was severely injured in the shootout, but managed to flee over to Kosovo. "He is currently in the Pristina hospital under constant police control and the Macedonian Interior Ministry is working out details with the Kosovo authorities for his handing over", Jankulovska said.

MD: Many people are afraid of again an unstable situation in Macedonian security.
