DEBAR JOINS PARTNERSHIP OF BALKAN TOWNS

National.

By establishing partnership relations with the Bulgarian Municipality of Lom, Debar has joined the Balkan Network of partnership towns, which are due to become part of the European Network later on.

Debar's Mayor Argetim Fida said this today upon returning from the Bulgaria trip, Makfax's correspondent reported.

Fida specified that the town of Lom set in motion an initiative for establishing a Balkan Network, including towns from Greece, Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Albania, Romania and Debar from Macedonia.

The Mayor also said that during the visit, a cooperation was agreed between the municipalities and the NGOs of the two towns, which except for the similar size, share one more thing - ethnically mixed population.

MD: This inclusion will make it possible for Debar to apply for EU funded projects.
