"SHADOWS" BY MANCEVSKI, MACEDONIAN OSCAR CANDIDATE

Film "Shadows" of director Milco Mancevski is the Macedonian candidate for a nomination on most prestigious film award "Oscar" in the category of Best Foreign Film, decided late Monday the selection jury.
Four Macedonian films applied for the candidacy: "Does it Hurt" of Aneta Lesnikovska, "The Secret Book" of Vlado Cvetanovski, "Upside Down" of Igor Ivanov and "Shadows".
The selection jury was comprised of producer Robert Naskov, director Aleksandar Popovski, cinematographer Vlatko Samoilovski, dramaturge Dejan Dukovski, actor Emil Ruben, costume designer Roze Trajcevska-Ristovska, and stage designer Bujar Muca.
MD: "Shadows" is Mancevski's third film, which had its premiere projection at the Toronto Film Festival on September 9.
