AGREEMENT ON REMAINING EU LAWS

The ruling and opposition party leaders reached an agreement today for the Parliament to adopt all the EU-related bills shortly after the New Year.
The leaders of the four largest parliamentary parties brought into accord their stances on all of the 18 bills of key importance for Euro-integration process and hammered out a deal for their adoption on 3th and 4th of January, Telma TV station reported.
According to the same source, at the meeting that wrapped up late Monday, the leaders of the ruling VMRO DPMNE and DPA, and of the opposition SDSM and DUI, did not discuss the bill on use of languages or regulation referring to the state benefit for the former NLA fighters.
At the last meeting for this year, the partisan leaders opened the issue of the Bill on Public Prosecution, and upon initiative of DPA and DUI, discussed the possibility of voting under Badinter principle in the Constitutional Court.
According to the announcements, the discussion on these issues will resume at the next leadership meeting that will take place after the New Year's Holidays.
