KATANEC STAYS
Sports.
Srecko Katanec has decided to coach Macedonia's national football team for additional two years and also to lead the team through qualifications for the World Cup 2010.
The news was announced Friday by Football Federation of Macedonia (FFM) on its official web site, Makfax news agency said.
"The good co-operation with FFM, the quality of the national team and the group for the World Cup 2010 qualifications were crucial moments for the continuation of cooperation," FFM president Hari Hadziristeski said.
He added that Katanec asked for no extra conditions, but he made the decision under big pressure from Slovenia's public, demanding that he takes the helm of Slovenia national team.
The news on Katanec's decision was published today by Slovenian media. The Football Federation of Slovenia also came up with an official statement.
MD: Some are satisfied with this, some hate it. Anyway, the way of playing really should change, if we want to be succesful in the qualifiers.
