Also talks are underway to link the Macedonian hockey federation with a good Dutch hockey club. "I'm sure in the next few years such friendly games will continue, but also many official matches", Filipini said.
The president of the Macedonian hockey federation, Dejan Panoski said that the idea for organising hockey in Macedonia is in the function of the sport development in the country. With help of the Dutch embassy and the agency for youth and sport, hockey in Macedonia will develop and that they are searching for facilities to play this sport outside with a possible creation of a hockey field according to olympic standards.
"It's our goal to make this sport an olympic sport in our country, eventually trying to get the national team to the Olympic games", Panoski said.
The game was, besides hundreds of visitors, also attended by the mayor of Ohrid, Aleksandar Petreski.
MD: Congratulations! Let's hope this sport will develop in Macedonia and maybe we'll see them at the olympics sometime
