OHRID SUMMIT: EUROPE INCOMPLETE WITHOUT BALKANS
National.
The process of Euro-Atlantic integrations cannot be considered as completed without full inclusion of the Western Balkan's countries in NATO and the European Union.
This is said in the draft-document that will be tabled for adoption before the heads of states and official representatives of 19 countries, participating in the Central-European Initiative Summit in Ohrid.
The candidate- and aspirant-countries have no alternative but integration into the European Union, says the draft-version of the final document that was made available for reviewing to Makfax.
"To this end, (the countries) have to step up the implementation of reforms, while EU needs to continue supporting their efforts," the document says.
The heads of states of Central and South West Europe are also due to adopt the conclusion that the economic development remains one of the utmost priorities of the region's countries.
"Stabile energy supply, quality transportation and telecommunication infrastructure on both local and regional level, are prerequisites for greater economic growth," the draft-document says.
It further adds that launching of projects in these spheres will contribute to better regional cooperation and will serve as an investment in the stability and security of the countries.
The new economic and energy facilities, regardless of their location, will be added value for the national, regional and Union's economies.
A separate item of the document emphasizes that Europe is accepted by all countries in the region as common economic and trade market, moreover, it is viewed as a community with shared values and convictions.
"We want to build prosperous societies based on solidarity among people and equal opportunities for all," the draft-document says.
