STATE SUPPORT FOR ARCHEOLOGICAL RESEARCH IN PRILEP

The Ministry of Culture will support all projects of national interest, said Tuesday State Secretary Elizabeta Kanceska-Milevska while visiting monastery “St. Arhangel Mihail” in Prilep settlement Varos.
Kanceska-Milevska paid a visit to Prilep cultural institutions, in order to select ministry-funded priority projects.
“Reconstruction of shelters within monastery ‘St. Arhangel Mihail’, archaeological research in monastery ‘St. Preobrazenie Zrze’ have already been supported, whereas additional funds will be allocated for archaeological research of the 12-13th century church ‘St. Nikola’ in village Manastir. Ministry’s priorities also include monastery ‘Treskavec’, antique site ‘Stibera’ etc”, confirmed the Ministry State Secretary.
Moreover, the Prilep Museum should develop a project for reconstruction of the icon depot, while center of culture “Marko Cepenkov” an overhaul project.
