DIMITROV RELIEVED AS NEGOTIATOR
National.
Ambassador Nikola Dimitrov has been relieved from the duty of Macedonia's negotiator in the UN-brokered talks with Greece on the differences over the name.
Macedonian President Branko Crvenkovski announced his decision Monday, during the parliamentary debate on the Resolution on the name.
Crvenkovski explained that he added the decision to end the Ambassador's mandate in order to overcome the discordances in the approach to the name issue between himself and the Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, of which Greece takes advantage.
The Macedonian President made it clear that he approves of the appointment of the government's representative in the talks over the name, Martin Protugjer, as the new chief state negotiator.
